Description

The CL MotoTech Kawasaki KZ750 kit is a complete adaptation of a RFY unit specifically for Kawasaki KZ750 model and is one of the most customized and reworked models in the CL MotoTech product line. While this kit was built specifically for the Kawasaki KZ750 model, it likely works for a wide variety of Kawasaki KZ bikes. The shock package has eyelet lower mount with a 10mm bushing while the top mount accommodates the stock 14mm upper mount. The damper is adjusted specifically for KZ motorcycles and is optimized across all aspects. The kit is available in several lengths, the longer lengths provides less rake and generally means that your bike will have quicker steering, though this is done at a loss of stability. Shock length from center to center is 340mm while the spring is a 140lbs/inch unit that is stiffer than the stock spring and is geared towards a very sporty and taught ride. This also helps to support todays riders who are more heavily clad in gear than 30 years ago. As with all my builds, you have your choice between Maxima 3 weight, 7w, and 10w oil. The shock is then charged with nitrogen to assure consistent and reliable performance.

About The Shock

The shock itself is a modified and serviced RFY shock body and piston. The body is lightweight aluminum with adjustable preload. The piston and shaft are of steel construction. The piston is of a deflective disk design and can be tuned via shim stack adjustment, oil weight change, and reservoir pressure. An important feature of the package is the reservoir which allows for the pressurization of the shock which promotes consistent performance even in extreme environments. The entire package with springs weighs around 10lbs. total and offers significant weight savings over stock and steel bodied units.

Option 2 – Refunds Permitted:

We accept returns. You can return unopened items in the original packaging within 30 days of your purchase with receipt or proof of purchase. If 30 days or more have passed since your purchase, we cannot offer you a refund or an exchange.

Upon receipt of the returned item, we will fully examine it and notify you via email, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a return. If you are entitled to a return, we will refund your purchase price and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment.

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items are non-refundable.
